Growing in Time

By: Diana Matyunenkova

It's finally here
The new life appears
The cries of a child
Breaking thin air
White moving clouds
Glide gently through the sky
When she sleeps in her cradle
Without a cry
Her hands so small reaching out
So small she is
Yet so eager to grow
Too bad she doesn't know yet
That life is easier as small as she is
And growing comes in time
She doesn't yet question her mind
Her mind is a long blank sentence
And growing comes in time
To fill in the empty spaces of her mind
To make one a full living story
Growing comes in time
And when old age hits
She regresses back to a child
Wishing to be young once more
