College Now
By: Christina Iannotti
My senior year at Leon M. Goldstein High School I took a science College Now class
the last term. I willingly chose to take a science class, and I'm glad that I did.
I always loved science and always was interested in learning more in the field of
science. I knew I would be able to learn a lot and have fun. I learned new and more
exciting facts about our world today and how science reflects on us in our every day
lives.
In the class we were able to speak our minds and state our opinion about what we were
learning as long as we did not offend any of our fellow classmates. We could also
relate our own life and family experiences with some things that we were learning.
I was comfortable for all of us to say our opinions and our thoughts on things. I
have to admit I was a little nervous going into a college class, but as soon as I
sat down I knew I would have fun.
This class was so much fun and was a great learning experience. I looked forward to
class every morning, and this was one of the few classes I enjoyed and learned a lot
in. I hope the classes behind me take this class and are able to enjoy it and learn
as much as I did. It also opened a door to a college experience for me. Because of
this class I will not walk into college so blind.
