The Office of Institutional Advancement (OIA)
Supports, encourages, and promotes the academic mission and vision of the College.
Through its various offices, the OIA works with individuals, foundations, corporations,
corporate foundations and government entities to raise funds to support the needs
of students, faculty and scholastic activities. The OIA coordinates all fundraising
for the College by fostering relationships with alumni, faculty and staff retirees,
and external constituencies. OIA's responsibilities also include the Kingsborough
Community College Foundation.

The Office of Alumni Relations
Provides leadership, services and benefits to some 55,000 alumni. Its mission is to
keep the alumni well informed about the College and to support the College community
by raising funds that will directly benefit our students. It coordinates several annual
activities such as Homecoming Day, concerts, and other alumni events that help raise
funds for scholarships.

The Development Office
Designs, implements, and manages the comprehensive campaign to raise funds from federal, state
and city governments, and private foundations, corporations and other organizations.
It also leads the campus’s efforts to encourage faculty to initiate and write grants.

The Kingsborough Community College Foundation
The tax exempt 501(c)(3) philanthropic organization through which individuals, foundations and corporations can make tax exempt gifts to benefit our students, faculty and college. It is governed by an independent Board of Trustees elected on a rotating basis.
The KCC Foundation Board of Trustees represents the commercial, financial, publishing,
philanthropic, utilities, legal, real estate, health care, community development,
and public relations industries of New York City. Alumni and college faculty and administration
also serve on the Board.

KCC Students Need Your Help!
Our students continue to face unprecedented financial challenges and need our help to meet life’s necessities. Some need a laptop, Wi-Fi access, and other essential materials and resources to accommodate distance learning. Others find themselves without a job and unable to pay for rent, food, medications and other crucial necessities.
Over one hundred individuals, corporations and foundations answered the call to provide vital financial support to the KCC Covid-19 Student Emergency Relief Fund as of February 1, 2021. This support made a tremendous difference, but the need continues to be urgent.
