Request for Volunteers for the "Operational Excellence" Committee for the 2025-2030 Strategic Plan

Dear colleagues,

 I am writing to request volunteers for the committee that will develop our "operational excellence" strategic plan goal. This committee will work over the summer to define the goal, identify initiatives, and draft metrics to measure our progress.

Vice President for Finance and Administration Andres Escobar and I will serve as co-chairs of the committee. While most members will be experts in an aspect of college operations, I would like the committee to include two or three additional individuals to contribute diverse knowledge and perspectives. Including interested and motivated community members was helpful with our other strategic plan goals and will be valuable to this group, as well. 

 While we are not offering summer salary or course overload as compensation to faculty, participation on this committee will count as significant service and presents a great opportunity to deepen your understanding of college operations.

The group will meet from late June through early August, likely every two weeks on Zoom. As with the other committees, our primary goal is to develop strong proposals and metrics that can be refined and incorporated into the final strategic plan document.
