Message to the Campus

Dear Faculty and Staff,

Welcome back to the first day of the 2025 academic year at Kingsborough Community College. Thank you for all of your efforts to get students ready for the new school term, prepare your classes, and otherwise create an environment of support and success for our students. Your dedication makes KCC a vibrant and welcoming community in which each member can excel. Your work is especially important at this time of significant societal and political upheaval that directly affects so many KCC students, their families and communities.

Middle States

We are counting down to the Middle States Self-Study site visit on Sunday, March 23 to Wednesday, March 25. The team of peer reviewers will meet with many of you in your specific roles on campus; I hope that you will also attend meetings with the team that are open to the entire college community. The site visit schedule is in development. As you prepare to participate, the college’s web site for the reaccreditation site visit has on it our full self-study, as well as Sample Questions You Might Be Asked and Things To Know About Kingsborough Guide.

Spring Convocation

Spring 2025 Convocation will take place on Thursday, April 3 at 3 p.m. in U219/220. In addition to debriefing the Middle States visit, we will use the convocation as an opportunity to solicit additional feedback from you as part of our strategic planning process.

Again, thank you for your hard work, passion, and unwavering commitment to our mission of delivering transformative, high-quality educational and career opportunities to our students.

I wish you a productive and fulfilling spring term and especially look forward to celebrating our students and their accomplishments, and our incredible faculty and staff, at events throughout the term and at our 60th commencement on June 18th!
