CUNY-Sponsored Paid Internship Programs

  • CUNY Internship Programs collaborate with New York City agencies, boards, and commissions to provide CUNY students with internships in tech, engineering, public health, finance, business and other sectors. For nearly two decades, interns have been hired by their agencies through this program, some moving into leadership positions where they oversee current CUNY interns.

  • CUNY Career Launch is a summer internship with opportunities starting in early July and running until late August. Interns must be available for 19 hours/week during a typical work week (M-F, 8am – 6pm) during that time.

  • CUNY Spring Forward are paid to pursue your future career and learn on the job! Internships are designed for CUNY undergrads who have had no prior paid internship experience.
    • Open to current CUNY undergraduate students
    • No age cap! They accept students aged 18+
    • Priority is given to applicants with Freshman & Sophomore status
    • Priority is given to Community College applicants
  • CUNY Cultural Corps provides students with paid work experience in NYC’s arts and cultural sector, creating a pipeline for students to have successful careers, while diversifying NYC’s cultural institutions. Partnering institutions include non-profit cultural organizations involved in the visual, literary and performing arts as well as public-oriented science and humanities institutions including zoos, botanical gardens and historic and preservation societies.

  • The Edward T. Rogowsky Internship serves CUNY students seeking to build their professional network and develop workforce skills within New York’s public sector.
    • Caucus CUNY Scholars - The Caucus CUNY Scholars Program provides an advanced option for CUNY students who are interested in the workings of the New York State Legislature. The Program concentrates on the service of the New York State Black, Puerto Rican, Hispanic and Asian Legislative Caucus to communities of need in and around New York City.
