Metropolitan Museum of Art Summer Internship
The Museum offers internship opportunities for college students interested in careers
in art museums. Join a community of interns to gain professional skills and learn
about museum practice. The Met has over forty department areas that host interns from
a wide variety of academic backgrounds.
Pay Rate: $20/hr. | Academic Credit Available

Brooklyn Museum Summer Internship
As a Brooklyn Museum intern, you’ll join a dynamic group of emerging arts professionals
to re-envision the future of museums while gaining workplace skills through hands-on,
real-world projects. Selected interns will be paired with a supervisor and integrated
into one of the museum’s departments, participating fully in day-to-day workplace
activities and projects with the guidance of full-time staff members. In addition
to gaining extensive work experience, interns will also attend seminars that focus
on the role of museums in society today and include intimate conversations with Museum
staff. Seminars include intimate conversations with Brooklyn Museum curators, conservators,
educators, and collection and exhibition specialists, as well as invited artists and
outside experts. Interns also visit local museums and other cultural institutions.
Pay Rate: $17/hr. | Academic Credit Available

Office of the Mayor’s Summer Internship Program
The Mayor’s Office Internship Program provides participants with the chance to harness
the tremendous opportunity of our city, all while helping to take on the challenges
that our residents face and developing innovative solutions to build a better tomorrow.
The Mayor’s Internship Program hosts interns and the internship program offer participants
a paid opportunity to become embedded in a variety of NYC’s public sector offices,
including International Affairs, Research and Media Analysis, Information Technology,
and many more. Internships typically consist of three components: Work Assignment,
Government Engagement, and Service Project.
Pay Rate: $17/hr. | Academic Credit Available

American Museum of Natural History Summer Internship Program
Through a comprehensive learning program, interns develop the skillful art of initiating
engaging science conversations through interactive and reflective workshops. Museum
Education Experience Program (MEEP) interns initiate science discussions with the
Museum’s visitors using the halls as a launchpad. They go beyond conveying mere facts
to support our people in fostering a deeper understanding and connection to the science
content in exhibition spaces. Interested applicants should think of this as an internship
in Science Communication; you can combine your passion and curiosity about science
with your strong conversational skills to educate museum visitors.
Pay Rate: Stipend up to $2,500 | Academic Credit Available

The Office of Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Summer Internship
Interns will work with staff to serve the constituents of New York’s 14th Congressional
District. The goal is to provide each intern with a meaningful experience that will
enhance their understanding of Congress. Intern responsibilities may include attending
briefings and hearings, assisting staff with public events, administrative work as
assigned, and researching legislation. Interns are able to work on either a part-time
or full-time basis.
Pay Rate: $18 per hr.

Led by the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) and its Life Sciences and Healthcare team, the City’s investment in life sciences will create, produce, and deliver dozens
of new cures and treatments, generating thousands of new jobs for New Yorkers—making
our city healthier and fairer. The program seeks to provide experience and training
for students and recent graduates interested in pursuing careers in the life sciences
industry, providing opportunities to work in a wide range of companies, from early-stage
startups to large pharmaceutical and biotech firms.
Pay Rate: $16/hr.

Office of U.S. Senator Charles Schumer
Your interest in Senator Schumer’s internship program is a positive indication that
you are an informed member of your community with a willingness to learn and contribute
significantly to the Legislative branch of our government. This internship presents
an opportunity for both a unique learning experience and an inside look at the political
process. Applicants must be hard-working, have strong writing and communication skills
and have a demonstrated interest in public policy. While applicants from all backgrounds
will be considered, students from New York are strongly encouraged to apply. Interns
in the state offices assist staff with constituent service work, our scheduling team
or are press team. Paid internships are available to interns who have been accepted
into the internship program and are able to certify financial need and meet eligibility
criteria.
Pay Rate: $1,000 – $1,500 Stipend

The Borgen Project Internship
The Borgen Project have several internship and volunteer openings that may be of interest
to you, these range from HR, PR/Marketing to writing and journalism. All internship
and volunteer programs provide experience in advocacy, mobilizing and fundraising,
coupled with real industry exposure and an insight into the nonprofit world. Borgen
Project remote internships are work from home roles, weekly deadlines must be met,
meetings will be held online and a weekly update of your progress submitted.
