A Comeback for Our Students, University and City/ Coming back
Dear College Community,
Look for me over the moon! I am so excited for what this will mean for our students and their educational goals. We will be working to ensure that students are aware of this Program and engaging in the administrative tasks like clearing balances so that students can register, without the worry of debt, for the coming semester.
I also want to share with you that our Reopening Plan was submitted to the Central Office in June. Since then we had to make minor revisions, but I am pleased to report that the plan has been approved and will be uploaded to our website shortly. A special thank you to Prof Ryan McKinney and Tasheka Sutton-Young for their assuming the mantle of leadership. Thank you to all the members of the Forward Committee also for their leadership, commitment, and participation in this work. I am grateful for all the members of the college community and the big and small parts they played in developing the plan.
If you are tuned into the news, you can see that there may be some changes with regards to health protocols on the horizon. Know that we remain committed to sharing with you information as it becomes available.
Earlier this week, the Chancellor shared with you that the return date for staff has been changed to August 16th. We are actively working to ensure that the campus is ready for your return. I look forward to seeing you all very soon. Until then, continue to be vigilant in your efforts to be safe and enjoy the rest of your summer.
Many thanks,
Claudia Schrader
