History of U.S. Civil Rights and Related Movements
This introductory course invites future police, lawyers, social workers, and history
lovers to learn how young people and community activists led this country's civil
rights revolution. Develop work-related skills like critical thinking, teamwork, intercultural
literacy, writing, and applying knowledge to real-world issues as you analyze films,
speeches, articles, and photographs of many civil rights leaders beyond Dr. King and
Rosa Parks.
