The Dean’s List Presentation

The Dean’s List at Kingsborough Community College recognizes the academic excellence of our matriculated students each academic term. We invite you to recognize our exceptional students and their academic excellence.

Dean’s List Criteria

The Dean’s List at Kingsborough Community College recognizes the academic excellence of our matriculated students each academic term. In order to qualify for the Dean’s List, students must meet the following criteria for a given term (defined as 12-week session and 6-week module):

1. matriculated status in the combined Fall 2025 | Winter 2026sessions (with minimum of 12 credits);
2. GPA of 3.50 or higher for the combined semester of Fall 2025 | Winter 2026.
3. In good academic standing;
4. Did not receive grades of D, F, FIN, R, NC, or WU for the combined semester of Fall 2025 | Winter 2026
5. NOT enrolled in any of the following courses in Fall 2025 | Winter 2026– ESL 700, ESL 900, ESL 91A7, ESL 101, ESL 102, ENG 92A6, ENG 93A9, ENG 1220, MAT M100, MAT X100, MAT M200, MAT X200, and MAT 500.
6. All INC grades must be resolved by Tuesday March 10, 2026 (LAST DAY to add/drop courses using Schedule Builder in CUNYfirst - Drops will delete the course from the transcript).

Eligibility for Dean’s List will be based on the official grades recorded for the semester as of the last day to add/drop classes for the following spring and/or fall term.

Students who meet the above criteria will automatically be placed on the Dean’s List. Attainment of the Dean’s List becomes part of students’ permanent record and appears on their transcript.

Students do not need to apply to be considered for the Dean’s List. Eligible students will be automatically notified via email no later than March 24, 2026.

Dean’s List Scholarship Criteria

The Dean’s List Scholarship Award is available to a select number of Dean’s List students to further honor their achievement and encourage them to continue to pursue academic excellence. Students on the Dean's List for their first two semesters and enroll full-time for a third semester are eligible for the Dean's List Scholarship. 

The Dean’s List Scholarship Criteria for of Fall 2025 term is as follows: 

1. Be enrolled as full-time matriculated first semester and on Dean's List Fall 2024, 
2. Be on Dean's List Spring 2025, and
3. Be enrolled as full-time matriculated Fall 2025. 

Transfer students and students who receive the WAVE scholarship are not eligible.

Students do not need to apply to be considered for the Dean’s List Scholarship. Eligible students will be automatically notified via email no later than October 15, 2025.
