Dear College Community,

I earned over 12,000 steps yesterday walking students to and fro-- to offices and around the campus.  But it is each and everyone of you that earned my gratitude for an amazing New Student Orientation.

We were almost 1100 strong and at every turn I saw staff in t shirts(although I didn't get one), faculty, public safety, assisting, directing, supporting, talking to and Kingsboroughing (yes I just made that up) because how else do I describe that special something that you all bring to every interaction with students.

I know we are not at the finish line yet, but if you are reading VP Rivera's Sunday Enrollment Times, you will see the results of an incredible effort by her team, Academic Affairs, advisors, and each and every one of you.

There is much work to be done to not only get students here, but to keep them on track to earn their degrees. This is our work as the village and it will continue to take all of us.

Thank you everyone for an amazing day and all that you do to make it happen for KCC and our students every day.
