Dear Campus Community,

With cases on the rise in New York State, we want to continue to ensure the health and safety of every member of our college community.  Please be reminded of the following:

  • If you have tested positive, please inform your supervisor and Karen St. Hilaire (karen.sthilaire@kbcc.cuny.edu).  Karen will advise you of next steps.  Please do not come to campus.

  • As we have indicated previously, we have a contact tracing protocol in place.  If someone tests positive they are required provide to us, the names of everyone they have come into contact with on campus, as well as the areas that they frequented.  You will only be contacted if the person had contact with you.

  • If you have been in contact with someone who tested positive,  or  if you do not feel well,  do not come to campus.  Please inform your supervisor and make arrangements to get tested as soon as possible. Do not use the KCC or any other CUNY testing site.  You can find a site fast and no cost test at nyc.gov/covidtest

  • Note that not sharing a positive COVID status information with Ms. St. Hilaire puts the campus community at risk so I ask that you please contact her in the event that you test positve or was in contact with someone who tested positive.

As we know, you can have COVID-19 and not exhibit symptoms.  As such, to further protect the health and safety of every member of our college community, we ask that you continue to wear your mask.

As always, if you have any questions, please contact Karen St. Hilaire.

Many thanks,

Claudia V. Schrader, Ed.D.
President
