A $30 deposit is required for pre-registration. Once you pre-register, you will be

You must show that you qualify for the I-20. The I-20 form is an immigration document that shows eligibility for the F-1 Nonimmigrant Student Status. You may download the application by clicking on the following link: ESL I-20 form and Checklist
Step 3:
Lastly, once you have been issued and received your I-20 form, you must make an appointment
at the US Embassy to apply for an F-1 visa.
Once you have been approved for the F-1 visa, you can enter the United States no earlier
than 30 days prior to the start date of your I-20.
