Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies
Established in 1994 at Kingsborough Community College (CUNY), the Women's Studies
Program remains an important and innovative site of academic inquiry. This faculty interest
group (FIG) is open to all faculty—whether or not they teach in the Women's Studies
Program—and is devoted to continuing scholarly and pedagogical discussions within
the field of Women's and Gender Studies. We will analyze structures of power and dimensions
of difference by focusing on gender, race, class, sexuality, ethnicity, nationality,
ability, and age, both in and out the classroom.
This FIG is facilitated by Red Washburn (English). For more information, please contact Red (red.washburn@kbcc.cuny.edu). Please feel free to check out our CUNY Academic Commons site.
