A Message from President Schrader:
Dear Campus Community,
In response to the coronavirus threat and to protect the health and safety of our students, faculty and staff while maintaining academic and business continuity, Kingsborough Community College and the University will implement a transition to distance education for the remainder of the spring 2020 semester.
Effective Thursday, March 12, KCC students will be on a five-day instructional recess and there will be no in-person classes through Wednesday, March 18. The College will be OPEN during this time to allow faculty and students to receive the support they need to participate in the Distance Learning phase, which will begin on March 19 and run throughout the rest of the spring semester. KCC’s library, SingleStop, Food Pantry, Advisement and other campus services will be open.
Effective Thursday, March 19, all instruction will resume in distance-learning mode, and will remain so through the end of the spring semester. Students should check their email and www.kbcc.cuny.edu/coronavirus for further details and to remain informed.
The College will remain open during the spring semester. Full- and part-time staff will continue to adhere to their normal work schedule.
Spring break will be observed as normal April 8 through April 16.
An email will be forthcoming this evening from the Provost that outlines what will be occurring during the Instructional Recess Phase and the expectations for Distance Learning.
As always, the health and safety of the campus remains our top priority. These measures allow KCC and CUNY to continue serving its students, faculty and staff during this public health crisis.
Thank you,
President Schrader
