Dear Kingsborough Students,

As mentioned in my memo on March 6th, Kingsborough Community College (KCC) and the City University of New York (CUNY) are taking active measures to protect the health and safety of our students, faculty, staff, and community. Our KCC COVID-19 WEBSITE is active and will be updated daily to include developments about the outbreaks and our plans.

We understand that recent developments may cause anxiety or concern. Please note that there are sources of support at KCC and CUNY. Our Wellness CenterHealth Center, and Counseling Center remains a source of support and information.

Because this is a fluid situation, we understand that you may have many questions. The information below may be helpful:

Classes

  • Classes are currently meeting as scheduled. Any updates will be posted on our WEBSITE
  • Classes may move to remote access based upon several factors. We encourage you to download the Blackboard Student App from the Apple Store or Google Play. Please follow the instructions below:
  • Once downloaded, open the app and choose or type the proper school name - CUNY – Kingsborough Community College
  • Click on “WEB LOGIN”
  • Put in your CUNYfirst username and password and click “LOG IN”.

 

Username: first name.last name + the last 2 numbers of your empl ID.

Password:  Uppercase first initial, lowercase last initial + the first 6 numbers of your EMPL ID

Example     NAME: Jane Doe

EMPL ID: 18844621 

username: Jane.Doe21     

password: Jd188446

  • Once inside the App you will find your course by clicking on the icon in the upper left side of the screen, and click on “COURSES”.
  • Click on the class that you will be working in.
  • Faculty will be in contact should there be specific instructions or details regarding your course

As a reminder, everyday precautions like diligent hand washing, covering coughs and sneezes, remaining home if feeling ill, and staying up to date with immunizations are always important measures in keeping our community healthy.
