Fifty Eighth Commencement

Kingsborough Community College will be holding its Fifty Eighth Commencement Program on Wednesday, June 21, 2023. Please see below for important information that will help make this very special day a most memorable occasion for you, your friends, your family, and the entire college community. Additional information with specific instructions for Commencement Day will be posted here by the end of next month (April).
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE IN THE JUNE COMMENCEMENT EXERCISES?
All August 2022 and January 2023 graduates are able to take part in the June 2023 Commencement Exercises. Students who anticipate completing all graduation requirements by June 2023 are also eligible to apply for graduation. Students who will complete requirements in August 2023 are not eligible to participate in the June 2023 commencement, but will be invited to participate in the next commencement ceremony.
HOW DO I RECEIVE AN INVITATION TO THE COMMENCEMENT EXERCISES?
The invitation to the Commencement Exercises will be sent to your home address. All graduates may invite no more than four guests, and all guests will need to register and show an Eventbrite ticket free of charge (ticket order link and instructions will be provided later).
HOW DO I ORDER MY CAP & GOWN?
Please visit https://kingsborough.shopoakhalli.com/ to place your order free of charge. The online ordering deadline is MAY 3, 2023. Order your cap & gown early to ensure that it arrives on time.
If you miss the May 3 ordering deadline, you can go to the KCC Bookstore after June 6th to pick up one of the extra caps and gowns. (Note that we cannot guarantee that your preferred size will be available, so please order early online.)
HOW WILL I RECEIVE MY CAP & GOWN?
Pick up your cap and gown in the KCC bookstore, beginning on June 6, if you placed your order online by May 3.
If you will not be on campus to pick up your pre-ordered cap and gown, you may request that it be shipped to you (students pay shipping only) through the bookstore website https://www.bkstr.com/kingsboroughccstore/home. If you did not pre-order and will not be on campus, please call the bookstore at 718-332-6900.

Graduation portraits may be taken on the following dates on campus at no charge. No appointment is necessary; just walk-in!
April 3 – April 5 from 11am-2pm and 3pm-6pm in M239
May 23 – 26 from 11am-2pm and 3pm-6pm in U220
Studio appointments can be made if the dates above do not work for you. Call 718 368-5603 with questions.
WILL MY NAME APPEAR IN THE COMMENCEMENT PROGRAM?
If you have already graduated (August 2022 or January 2023), your name will be in the program. If you plan to graduate in June 2023, your name will be included once your status has been confirmed as a Kingsborough Community College graduate.
