Abraham Lincoln High School is not only a school, but it's a melting pot of different
cultures and religions. In having a diverse student body, it adds to its uniqueness
and value of the school that over 3000 teenagers attend every day. In our school,
we all have our own story to tell, and in Abraham Lincoln we can do so. Having so
many clubs and activities we not only get to explore our interests but we can voice
our talent as well. A great example of this would be the College Now program which
Lincoln endorses. With Lincoln's large population only a small amount are given the
privilege to take on this challenging program.
Early in the morning as I enter my College Now Criminology class, what else do I see
but Mr. Ramos beginning his daily lecture. For the next 45 minutes the class is up
and ready to learn and listen about the legal system.
What seems to be a daily event, Mr. Lavin holds a daily group discussion in his College
Now Business Administration class .
Sitting down on his comfortable wooden chair, Mr. Fanning refers to the promethean
board as he goes through his lecture in our College Now Sociology class.
With such a large class, Mrs. Kwapitch has a lot on her hands as she goes around passing
by and helping any one of her 36 College Now math students. All students are up early
to arrive to her 6:45 am class on time.
