Department of Allied Health, Mental Health and Human Services

 

 Six KCC health-related programs  and one certificate program  as well as the faculty who teach the relevant courses, administer the programs and advise the students are housed in three different academic departments: the Physical Therapy Assistant AAS program is currently housed in the Department of Biology; the Surgical Technology AAS, Emergency Medical Services - Paramedic (EMS-P) AAS, and Polysomnographic Technology AAS programs are housed in the Department of Nursing; the Mental Health and Human Service AS, Chemical Dependency Counseling AS, and the Certificate in Substance Abuse Counseling are housed in the Department of Behavioral Sciences.

This new department is being established simultaneously through a resolution being presented to the members of the Committee on Academic Policy, Programs and Research.
