Application Process

Hello Potential Research Scholar,

Thank you for your patience during this time as we were preparing for the upcoming academic year and new cohort of CUNY Research Scholars. If you are still interested in participating in the CUNY Research Scholars Program, please complete the attached document and email it to Frances Samuel as soon as possible.

Here is an outline of the application process:

  1. Complete and submit the "Thank You for Your Interest" Form. Please download the form, type your information, then send it as an attachment.
  2. Complete the online CITI Research Ethics course. Email your Certificate of Completion and grade form.
  3. Complete the formal program application. Email your completed application with an approval email or note from your mentor no later than Wednesday September 23.

Please note: Spaces for the cohort are filled in the order in which they arrive and are completed. If you do not have a mentor currently, please feel free to reach out to our current mentors to discuss potential project ideas. Attached is a list of our mentors and some of their project descriptions.
