1) Increase historically underrepresented and economically disadvantaged students' awareness of the biological sciences as career options

2) Increase the numbers of these students who complete pre-professional or professional education programs of study that lead to licensure in CSTEP-targeted professions

At Kingsborough Community College, CSTEP supports students who are pursuing degrees in one of the following degree programs:

A.S. Biology, A.S. Biotechnology, A.A.S. Physical Therapist Assistant, A.A.S. Nursing, A.A.S. Emergency Medical Services-Paramedic and A.A.S. Surgical Technology. The program fosters a cooperative learning environment with support services that enhance each student's academic growth and professional potential.
