Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program

Program Activities

Students Will:

  • Complete Bio 61 and Bio 62 in the spring semester of their first year
  • Attend Regional and National Conferences
  • Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Students (ABRCMS)
  • Metropolitan Association of College and University Biologists (MACUB)
  • Annual CSTEP Conference:  Lake George New York
  • Visit the American Museum of Natural History
  • Visit the Dolan DNA Learning Center
  • Attend and participate in KCC's Annual Bio Scholars Day
  • Participate in a Faculty Mentored Research Project if eligible
  • Prepare an abstract and Poster of their research project
  • Present their poster at the annual MACUB and ABRCMS Conferences
  • Visit Bio classes at KCC to recruit future students for the CSTEP Program
