Welcome to the Academic Advisement Center!
The Academic Advisement Center provides new, continuing and transfer students with guidance throughout their education journey. Advisors offer students a personalized experience that integrates academic, transfer and career planning to support students with achieving their short and long-term goals.
Through a collaborative partnership, advisors and students will establish a supportive relationship that encourages informed decision-making, student success and personal development. The Advisement Center is committed to empowering students with the knowledge, resources and support needed to navigate their educational pathways and successfully complete their studies.

Academic advisors can assist with:
- Transitioning into and navigating college
- Understanding course and degree requirements
- Selecting and changing majors
- Learning about CUNY and Kingsborough policies
- Setting academic, transfer and career goals
- Making the most of your college experience
As a Kingsborough student, you will be assigned an Academic Advisor who will help guide you through academic focused goal setting. The Academic Advisement Center focuses on supporting students holistically and assisting students with crafting an intentional college experience. Students are paired with an academic advisor who is dedicated to guiding students through major exploration, understanding degree requirements, career planning and connecting to campus resources.We’re your partner on the road to academic success!

Advisement Offices
Advisement for new and continuing students is provided through three Special Programs and the Academic Advisement Center.
Students enrolled in ASAP, College Discovery or KCC Online are encouraged to contact their program for assistance. Students not enrolled in a Special Program receive advisement support from the Academic Advisement Center.

Enrolled in a STEM major?
The Advisement Center offers a specialized Health and STEM Advisement Office located in E-102 to provide support for students pursuing majors in STEM and health-related fields. STEM Advisors assist students with academic planning, applying to application-based programs, and transfer and career exploration specific to STEM.
