Lecturer – Department of Communications and Performing Arts

Ashwini Kadave holds a M. A. degree in TESOL from New York Steinhardt University. She started her career at CUNY IN 2017. She started teaching Public Speaking and Communication courses at BMCC in 2017 and later she also taught at The City College and Manhattan Education Opportunity Center. While teaching at BMCC, she completed various trainings such as Writing Across Curriculum( WAC), Online/ Hybrid course design implementing Quality Matters standards, Service - learning and OER. In Summer 2021 , she was selected as one of the cohort members for BMCC/ HCAP seminar series, which is a part of a 5 year U.S Dept of Education AASNAPISI (Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander Serving Institution) grant. In Fall 2021, she was selected as a one of the facilitators of the Global Solutions Smalls Grants Project which is a Collaborative Online International Learning Exchange Program. Ashwini connects very well with students from diverse backgrounds also enjoys teaching ESL at non- profitable organizations and community centers in her free time. She is thrilled to teach at Kingsborough Community College and help the students to not only achieve their academic goals but to help them become confident global citizens.
