Employee of the Month: Gercy Baudin Goes Above and Beyond

A custodial assistant at Kingsborough Community College for nearly six years, Gercy Baudin is a valuable employee who goes above and beyond the call of duty. 

She feels gratified after completing a cleaning detail. “I love to see everything look very shiny,” said the East Flatbush resident. “Working in the B&G Department can be hard. If you know what you are doing, it makes it easier.” 

Her co-workers say she exhibits excellent leadership qualities. “Gercy needs no supervision; she knows what to do and doesn’t wait for anyone to tell her to do it,” was a comment made on her nomination form.

Gercy’s most memorable moments at KCC have been when she was able to socialize with her co-workers at KCC events. While she doesn’t enjoy being the center of attention, she loves sharing her stories with others. “I am an open book,” she said. She’s proud to work with her co-workers.

When not at work, Gercy enjoys spending time going to church and being with her family.
