Electrocardiography (EKG) Technician

Description

This training program provides an overview of basic cardiovascular terminology, anatomy, and physiology and outlines the responsibilities for earning a certification. Students will explore new and modern techniques in cardiac monitoring and basic interpretation and learn to prep patients, take vital signs, set up an EKG machine, and perform electrocardiograms. It will explain the relationship between EKG interpretation, disease states, and commonly used medications.

Requirements

National Healthcareer Association (NHA) testing requires a high school diploma or equivalent.

Credential

National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Certified EKG Technician (CET) License and BLS provider card issued by the American Heart Association
