Description

A clinical medical assistant is a vital member of any healthcare team. Clinical medical assistant job duties help physicians’ offices, hospitals, and outpatient centers function as smoothly as possible.  This training program prepares students to perform routine administrative and clinical tasks to keep physicians' offices and clinics running smoothly. Students will learn to take vital signs, prepare patients for medical procedures, and perform phlebotomy (blood drawing) and electrocardiography (EKG).

Requirements

National Healthcareer Association (NHA) testing requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Students must sign an Assumption of Risk.

Credential

National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) License and BLS provider card issued by the American Heart Association
