The Graphic Design and Illustration department offers two studios, each outfitted
with 20 drawing tables, light tables, color copiers and printers, high-definition
scanners, and iMac computers loaded with all the graphic design software required
for our classes, including Adobe Creative Cloud, Toonboom, Cinema 4d, and more. We
offer two computer labs, each housing 24 fully-loaded iMacs. Our labs also offer color
laser printers, high-definition scanners, and Epson photographic printers for our
Digital Photography courses. Each computer lab also has Wacom Cintiq tablets to offer
our students a closer experience to what they can expect in a real work environment.
All studios and Mac Labs are equipped with digital projectors and sound systems. Two
3D printers are also available to our Animation students and our Clubs

Our Equipment Loan Program allows students to borrow MacBooks, Canon T6 cameras, and drawing tables to assist them with their homework assignments. A Student Lounge, containing an iMac, light tables, and large-format printer, provides a quiet space to work on individual projects.
In addition the Graphic Design and Illustration Department offers a Magazine Library for our Publication Design courses; a Typography Library; and a large-format professional photographic printer to be used to create prints for the Kingsborough Art Museum’s Annual Art Student Exhibition.
