Making Courses Accessible

Making your courses accessible is a crucial part of establishing an inclusive campus. When you design your courses with accessibility in mind it helps all students, including students with disabilities.

CUNY Assistive Technology Services: Media Accessibility Project (MAP) resource page
This page offers practical guidance and instructions on how to make course materials and documents accessible (e.g., Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, PDF, video, audio). It also offers a succinct explanation of laws regarding accessibility. 

NYC Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities: Accessible Virtual Meetings Guide
This guide provides information on how to make virtual meetings accessible. It covers what to do before an online meeting, how to make accommodations, and online disability etiquette.
