Dr. Sharon Warren CookDr. Sharon Warren Cook, Vice President of Student Affairs, has spent over 30 years in higher education supporting students and empowering them for lives outside of the classroom. With new challenges at every juncture, she is laser-focused on working to ensure that students excel in the multitude of opportunities at Kingsborough.

Dr. Cook believes in taking a comprehensive approach to utilizing student supports that drive students to take risks, pursue a path to self-actualization, and to dare to dream. It is imperative to create a welcoming and inclusive environment to foster a transformative college experience. Her energies are particularly centered upon the opportunities for development and engagement of each student at Kingsborough that prepare them for success in the global marketplace, while co-locating them in an inclusive and equity-centered campus.

Dr. Cook holds a doctorate from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in Curriculum and Teaching, her master’s degree in social work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her bachelor’s degree in psychology from North Carolina Central University.
