COM 143 Movement for Better Bones and Joints ONLINEModerate exercise, if done correctly can help joint pain and disability. The MBBJ Workout is taught by a physical therapist with extensive background in rehabilitation, exercise physiology, dance education as well as physical fitness. The class is structured as a blend of her experience to combine exercises to improve posture, range of motion and muscle strength, utilizing beginner level ballet basics as well as therapeutic exercises to target key muscle groups to keep you moving your best. You will learn ballet vocabulary, and you will learn how to move safely and effectively in your activities of daily life. You will need comfortable clothing, athletic shoes, a light -to -to medium resistance band, and a space for you to move in that is sufficient for a chair or counter support as well to use as your ballet barre.
