Do you feel overwhelmed at the thought of publishing while juggling other responsibilities? Does the world of academic publishing feel unwelcoming and biased? Are you looking for collegial support and strategies for getting your work out there? Then please join the Getting Published FIG.

Facilitated by Elizabeth Dill (English), this FIG offers faculty the chance to examine the issues surrounding scholarly publishing as well the opportunity to form relationships and explore strategies that can support their scholarship. In this FIG, we’ll talk about the realities of publishing while working at Kingsborough, issues of bias and equity in academic journals and university presses, and the nuts and bolts of drafting everything from conference proposals to book manuscripts.
