24/7 Hotlines for Anxiety, Depression, Stress and Other Mental Health concerns:

  • NYC WELL 24/7 hotline for mental health and substance use concerns. Hotline is available to youth and adults through phone/text/chat and interpreters are available for over 200 languages.
  • RAINN 24/7 hotline for sexual assault. Hotline is through chat.
  • Veterans Crisis Line 24/7 mental health and substance use hotline for Veterans. Hotline is available through phone/text/chat.

Intimate Partner Violence, Domestic Abuse and Bullying

  • New York State Family Justice Centers Walk in weekdays, 9-5, to get connected to free and confidential support for victims and survivors of intimate partner violence and domestic abuse.
  • National Domestic Violence Crisis Line 24/7 assistance through phone/chat.
  • NYS Domestic Violence hotline New York State hotline for intimate partner and domestic violence.
  • BRAVEline Hotline provided by the United Federation of Teachers to assist individuals being bullied in the NYC public and charter schools. Receive support and information on how to report effectively. Hotline is available through phone/text/chat.
  • gov Provides information and training on how to recognize, respond and prevent bullying.
  • National Child Abuse Helpline Offers crisis intervention, information and referrals related to child abuse.

Alcohol, Drug use & Problem Gambling

  • Al-Anon/Alateen Support and assistance for adults and youth who are the relatives & friends of a problem drinker).
  • Alcoholics Anonymous A self-help organization for people struggling with alcohol use, mutual support based on the 12 step model.
  • Marijuana Anonymous A self-help organization for people struggling with marijuana use, mutual support based on the 12 step model.
  • Smart Recovery Self-help for people struggling with various addictions. Mutual support model based on a scientific approach.

  • NAMI NYC Metro Offers support to individuals living with mental health concerns and their family and friends.
  • NYC WELL Peer Line 24/7 line where individuals can speak/text/chat with an individual living with mental illness or in recovery from substance use. Contact the NYC WELL hotline and select “Peer”.
  • Eating Disorders Awareness and Prevention Supports individuals and families affected by eating disorders.
  • Self-Injury Outreach and Support Resources and support for individuals who self-injure and their family and friends.

  • Optionline Provides pregnancy support and opportunity to discuss options.
  • Planned Parenthood Empowers individuals to make independent and informed decisions about their sexual and reproductive lives. Provides information and health care.
  • Parental Stress Hotline Offers support to parents/guardians experiencing stress related to their children.
