No Regrets

Happy Spring KCC Students!

The days are getting longer, we have more sunlight and as I look at the forecast, I see that warm weather is slowly making its way to us.  I don’t know about you, but I cannot wait!

Every winter, especially on those bitterly cold days, I think about all the time I took the warm weather for granted; like all those times I opted to stay on my couch all day instead of going out and taking a walk in my neighborhood or around the city.  When I have to dress in layers, or put on gloves, I think about all the times I complained that it was too hot outside.  So now here I am, with regrets, wishing for warmer days, and promising not to take sunshine for granted anymore.

Unfortunately, the weather hasn’t been the only thing I took for granted.  I think back to my college days and all the things I should have done when I had the opportunity and sometimes wish I can go back, but I can’t. 

KCC my message you this week is to soak up your KCC experience.  Don’t take this time for granted.   In addition to focusing on your classes, take the time to attend events, and get to know other students… your professors… and the staff that work here.  Trust me, the relationships you form during your college years will last a lifetime.  

KCC has so much to offer.  Check your email.  Download the KCC app. Follow the college on social media and stay in the know.    It won’t be long until you graduate; and when you look back on this time, I want you to do it with no regrets--- but with lots of great memories.
