Dear Kingsborough Students,

It's hard to believe that last year at this time we pivoted to all online classes, the city was on pause, many businesses were closed, and COVID-19 cases were on the rise. Over the past year, many of us lost loved ones, jobs, or were ill.   This was an intense time for all of us.  I remember being consumed with ensuring a smooth transition to distance learning and remote operations and thinking about the health and safety of all members of our college community.   A year later we are still in the midst of the pandemic (and for many of us it is still an intense time); lot is changing though. The city is no longer on pause, businesses are reopening, COVID-19 cases are declining, andthere are available vaccines.  At the same time, our priority continues to be ensuring  your health and safety and fulfilling our mission to help you to achieve your goals.

When I think about all that has occurred over the past year, I continue to behumbled by your resiliency, focus, and determination to earn your college degree. Stay the course and help us to continue to fulfill our mission by joining me and other members of the College staff tomorrow on our next Student Town Hall meeting. At the Town Hall you will have the opportunity to tell us about any issues you are having, ask questions, learn about available support and resources, and let us know how you are doing.

We are on a mission for you to be successful this year and beyond because we can't wait to see you in your cap and gown when you graduate!!!
