The Health Careers & Retention Center will serve as a resource for students, faculty, and the community regarding health career preparation programs at Kingsborough Community College.

A myriad of support services will be provided to students interested in pursuing health careers.

Services Provided

Pre Enrollment Advisement:
Advisors are available on Monday thru Friday 9:00 am-5:00 pm to talk to students about the Nursing Program or any of the other health majors.

Early Advisement and Registration: Individual sessions with an advisor to inform students of degree requirements, discuss their options, and learn how to register for classes using E-SIMS.

Health Career Exploration: Available to all students who are curious about various health related career paths, as well as students who are not accepted to our competitive Nursing program and are interested in other health careers.

Change of Curriculum: Advisors in the center meet with students individually to discuss their options and file the necessary paperwork required for a change of curriculum.

Office Hours Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Evening students can attend Evening Advisement Mondays through Thursdays 5:30 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. Students do not need an appointment for evening advisement.		*Note: not all counselors are available for evening hours. Please call the office at (718) 368 4911 to schedule an appointment with the advisor for your major or intended major.
NLN WORKSHOPS: NLN WORKSHOPS-Faculty lead workshops prior to the NLN Exam dates to help pre-nursing students study and prepare for this important exam.
