Assistant Professor – Department of Mathematics and Computer Science

Xinlong Dong is a mathematician and a data scientist. He holds a B.A. in mathematics from Queens College and a Ph.D. in mathematics from the CUNY-Graduate Center. He worked as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Kansas State University while obtaining his post-doctoral research training. He has 7 years of teaching experience across multiple CUNY campuses. His research interests include hyperbolic geometry, quasiconformal mappings and Teichmüller spaces. Xinlong also has strong interests in machine learning and deep learning. He is actively looking for ways to bridge pure and applied mathematics.
