The library’s Acquisitions Department is charged with the ordering of print books for the library’s collections. It is the job of the Acquisitions Librarian to accept requests from librarians and other members of the college community for the purchase of print book titles. The Acquisitions Librarian supervises the ordering, receipt, and payment of all print books purchases, as well as supervising the library’s print standing order accounts, and print New York State Coordinated Collected Development Aid (CCDA) grant purchases. The Acquisitions Librarian is responsible for spending the funds allocated by the library department chair. The Acquisitions Department consists of the Acquisitions Librarian and one fulltime support staff employee. The Acquisitions Librarian is also the Collection Development Librarian.
