Physical Therapist Assistant Program

Christina McVey, PT, MA
Interim Director
Academic Coordinator of Clinical Education
 

Professor McVey is a physical therapist with over 25 years of clinical experience.  She is currently the Interim Director of the PTA program and also serves as the Academic Coordinator of Clinical Education.  Prof. McVey earned her physical therapy degree from Quinnipiac College.  She subsequently earned a master's degree in health administration from Hofstra University.

Professor McVey's clinical and administrative experience includes service as a staff, senior, supervising and coordinating therapist at a major metropolitan area health care facility.  She also has experience in pediatric and general outpatient physical therapy services.


Victor O. Broder, PTA
College Laboratory Technician

Mr. Broder earned a B.A. degree in Economics from Brooklyn College in 1979. He earned an A.S. degree in Pre-Physical Therapy at Kingsborough Community College in 1997 and subsequently earned an A.A.S. in Physical Therapist Assistant from New York University.   

Prior to joining the Kingsborough faculty, Mr. Broder served as a PTA in a local general physical therapy practice.  He continues to provide physical therapy services on an on-call basis.

 
Jim Nettleton, PT, MA
Adjunct Lecturer

Mr. Nettleton is a Physical Therapist with over 30 years of clinical experience in various settings. He is a graduate of Long Island University and SUNY Health Sciences Center at Brooklyn.


Glen Rowell, PT, DPT, OCS
Adjunct Lecturer

Doctor Glen Rowell is a Physical Therapist with over 20 years of clinical experience  He received his degree in Physical Therapy from New York University and an Advanced Masters in Orthopedic Physical Therapy from Touro College.  He has also completed his Transitional Doctorate in Physical Therapy.

 
Elizabeth Tagney, PT, DPT, MS
Adjunct Lecturer

Ms. Tagney is a Physical Therapist with over 10 years of clinical experience in various settings. She received her MS in Physical Therapy at Sacred Heart University, her DPT at Temple University and a BS in Human Movement and Exercise Science at Sacred Heart University.
