Kingsborough is the proud recipient of a 3-year dissemination grant, funded by the U.S. Department of Education’s Fund for the Improvement of Post-secondary Education.

We have partnered with Halifax Community College (NC), Grossmont Community College (CA), Norwalk Community College (CT) and Prairie State College (IL) to explore how one college’s theory and practice of institutional change translates at diverse institutions nationally.

Gainful Employment

The Department of Education has issued rules surrounding gainful employment. It is required that institutions of higher education who offer one year certificate programs provide information on all non degree programs pertaining to employability. These programs are defined as programs that prepare students for gainful employment in a recognized occupation.
