Roberta Pike is presently the Catalog Librarian at the Robert J. Kibbee library. She is the faculty liaison for book selection in philosophy, religion and music.  Roberta is a longtime member of the LACUNY Cataloging Roundtable which she chaired from 1998-2005. She has also been a member of numerous college-wide and university-wide committees and professional societies.  While a graduate student in musicology she worked part-time in the library cataloging department. She felt very much at home next to the mountains of catalog cards which she arranged and filed. From that time on she knew that she wanted to be a cataloger. After becoming a librarian Roberta was a cataloger at Long Island University, Brooklyn Center,  Teacher’s College, Columbia University, the State College of Optometry (SUNY) and Baruch College (CUNY).  She was also a music librarian and part –time children’s librarian at the New York Public Library before coming to Kingsborough in 1993.
