New York Amsterdam News Summer Internship
Intern positions are available in our editorial and digital departments. Amsterdam News interns must be located in the New York City area and have a passion for writing about the Black community. Interns will be required to participate in weekly video conference meetings with staff, editors, and the internship coordinator. Interns are provided with significant opportunities to boost their professional profiles plus ongoing references as they seek opportunities in media or other fields.

Amsive Summer Internship
Amsive is a data-led performance marketing agency that enhances clients’ return on
investment through innovative customer acquisition, engagement, and communications
solutions. This Digital Marketing Internship program at Amsive Digital is designed
to provide a curriculum and hands-on experience to recent graduates or current professionals
looking to jumpstart their career in digital marketing and break into the highly competitive
industry. internship program will be conducted remotely; interns will be learning
and collaborating with our teams virtually via Zoom. Interns must have access to a
personal computer and internet to participate in the program.

Future Leaders in Public Service Fall 2024 Internship
This program helps bring diverse young talent to government and offers students the
opportunity to apply their educational training to work at a federal agency. The program
is actively recruiting for the Fall 2024 cohort. Undergraduate students from all academic
disciplines are welcome to apply. Managed by the Partnership for Public Service, the
Future Leaders in Public Service Internship Program.

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) Internship
The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) has partnered with CUNY to provide
paid internship opportunities to CUNY students. CUNY students. Interns will be exposed
to real-world work experiences at the largest public transit authority in the United
States. Internship positions will vary across MTA divisions including but not limited
to accounting/finance, technology, engineering, and human resources. communications
and law.

Salem Media Internship
Want to break into the ever-changing world of radio and digital media? There’s no
better place to start than by interning with the morning show with Joe Piscopo on
AM 970 The Answer. Whether your dream career is hosting a morning show on the radio,
anchoring a newscast, producing a talk show, or becoming a marketing expert, there
are plenty of internship opportunities at AM 970 The Answer and Salem NY to immerse
you in the world of digital and on-air media. As a production intern, you will learn
what it takes to put together a live show by working closely with our programming
and on-air staff.
Pay Rate: $16/hr.

Brooklyn Museum Fall Internship
As an intern, you’ll be paired with a supervisor and integrated into one of our departments,
participating fully in day-to-day workplace activities and projects with the guidance
of full-time staff members. Your placement is based on interest and relevant experience,
and you’ll work alongside our expert staff on key tasks, gaining skills while making
important contributions to the Museum as a whole. Interns also receive ongoing training
and mentorship from department leaders who are committed to supporting interns’ growth,
as well as their autonomy and agency, throughout the program.
Pay Rate: $17/hr.

HRTP: A Public Health Fall Internship Program
One of the oldest and largest public health traineeships in the country, the NYC Health Department Health Research Training Program (HRTP) provides an opportunity for undergraduate students to experience some of the real-life challenges of public health. By working on current public health issues under the close supervision and mentorship of experienced professionals, students apply classroom learning to practical problems in a closely matched practicum. In the process, they learn critical skills needed to excel in the field.

Office of U.S. Senator Charles Schumer
Your interest in Senator Schumer’s internship program is a positive indication that
you are an informed member of your community with a willingness to learn and contribute
significantly to the Legislative branch of our government. This internship presents
an opportunity for both a unique learning experience and an inside look at the political
process. Applicants must be hard-working, have strong writing and communication skills
and have a demonstrated interest in public policy. While applicants from all backgrounds
will be considered, students from New York are strongly encouraged to apply. Interns
in the state offices assist staff with constituent service work, our scheduling team
or are press team. Paid internships are available to interns who have been accepted
into the internship program and are able to certify financial need and meet eligibility
criteria.
Pay Rate: $1,000 – $1,500 Stipend

The Borgen Project Internship
The Borgen Project have several internship and volunteer openings that may be of interest
to you, these range from HR, PR/Marketing to writing and journalism. All internship
and volunteer programs provide experience in advocacy, mobilizing and fundraising,
coupled with real industry exposure and an insight into the nonprofit world. Borgen
Project remote internships are work from home roles, weekly deadlines must be met,
meetings will be held online and a weekly update of your progress submitted.

Melissa Riggio Higher Education Program
The Melissa Riggio Higher Education Program is a team of dedicated professionals focused on providing individuals with meaningful college experience, relationships and life. Currently, we are establishing a team of devoted college student mentors to provide support to students with intellectual disabilities. College Mentors will provide academic, internship, community and social supports to students enrolled in Melissa Riggio Higher Education Program.
Mentors are thoroughly trained and supervised by our program coordinator and are involved
in a variety of activities with our students.
