International Day of Action Against Contract Cheating
This year’s International Day of Contract Cheating falls on Wednesday, October 19, 2022. Contract Cheating is a form of academic dishonesty and violates the CUNY Academic Integrity Policy. Contract cheating can happen through family and friends; academic custom writing sites; legitimate learning and non-learning sites; paid exam takers; and pre-written essay banks. Contract Cheating is where students have academic work completed on their behalf, which they then submit for academic credit. The act of contract cheating, and its associated behaviors, undermines learning and damages learning relationships between student and faculty. In addition, it puts a graduating student at risk with significant knowledge gaps.
