*Career Counseling

One-on-one counseling oriented to explore issues related to values, interests, skills, training and career goals. Incorporated into the individual career counseling sessions are vocational assessments such as Career Coach and Research Strategies.

*Resume and Cover Letter Review

Receive suggestions for how to make improvements in order to develop a professional, marketable resume and cover letter that will be well received. A rough draft of the resume is required for your appointment.

*Mock Interviews

Practice your interview skills by participating in a mock interview with a Career Advisor. Respond to typical interview questions that you would receive for an upcoming interview and receive feedback to improve your interview skills.

*LinkedIn Profile Review/Assistance

Receive personalized feedback from a Career Advisor to strengthen your LinkedIn profile and gain tips to increase its visibility.

  • Update Your Profile
    • Upload or refresh your résumé.
    • Add education, experiences, and skills that reflect your current goals.
    • The more complete your profile, the better your job matches.
  • Explore Opportunities
    • Search for full-time jobs, internships, and networking events.
    • Set up job alerts to stay informed about new postings.

What to Do If You No Longer Have Access to Your Kingsborough Email 

  1. If you’ve previously set up Handshake credentials, you can continue using the platform and access nearly all features as before.

Council for Airport Opportunity
Council for Airport Opportunity (CAO) is a nonprofit trade association created in 1972 in collaboration with airline companies, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, the Mayor’s Offices of the City of Newark, and City of New York, and the Federal Aviation Administration.
Brooklyn Navy Yard

The Albert C. Wiltshire Employment Center connects local residents to jobs and careers available in the Brooklyn Navy Yard. Our team works with the 500+ businesses on the Yard to understand their staffing needs and connect them with talent. More than 2,500 individuals have found jobs through the Employment Center to-date. The Employment Center team connects candidates to job opportunities including full-time, part-time, temporary, and permanent positions in a diverse set of occupations and sectors.

The Employment Center is open to the public for in-person and remote services to connect candidates to open roles with our employer partners on the Yard.
