Sarah Dillon is an Assistant Professor of Art History, specializing in early modern art. She received her Ph.D. from The Graduate Center, CUNY and her M.A. from Syracuse University in Florence, Italy. Her research examines the role of glass in Renaissance art and connections between early Renaissance art and optical theory. She has published articles exploring such issues using fourteenth-century reliquaries as case studies and is currently preparing a manuscript on this topic.

Dr. Dillon teaches the following classes: Renaissance Art, Medieval Art, Survey of Art History: Prehistory to the Present, and Survey of Art History: From Ancient to Renaissance Art. Her course offerings frequently include Writing Intensive sections, Civic Engagement sections, Honors Enrichment Components, and Opening Doors Learning Community linked courses.
