RYAN MCKINNEY  is an Assist. Professor of Theatre Arts at KCC. He has taught on the theatre faculties of Western Connecticut State University, Five Towns College, Pace University, Marymount Manhattan College, San Diego State University, Perry-Mansfield Academy and The Usdan Center for Creative & Performing Arts. In addition to teaching, Ryan maintains an active career as an actor, director & theatre manager. Acting/Directing credits include I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change and The Music Man at Harbor Lights Theatre Company; the Florida premiere of The Bikinis at The Garden Theatre; the 10th Anniversary production of J.T. Rogers’ White People and the world premiere of The Eelwax Jesus 3-D Pop Music Show, both at the Contemporary American Theatre Festival; Kiss Me, Kate at Moonlight Amphitheatre; Man of La Mancha at The Fireside Theatre; NBC’s Law & Order: SVU and numerous university productions at colleges throughout the northeast. Ryan serves as the Chair of Musical Theatre for Region 1 of The Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival and is a frequent presenter at the Association for Theatre in Higher Education’s Annual Conference. He holds an MFA in Musical Theatre from San Diego State University, one of only two such programs in the country, and a B.A. in Theatre and International Studies from Fairfield University. Stage Directors & Choreographers Society (SDC) Associate Member.
