Q. What Is An Endowment?
An endowment is an investment in the future of the Kingsborough Community College Foundation. When you use your charitable gift to establish an endowment, the gift is invested to provide spendable income for whatever specific purpose you have designated. The original principal (or gift) is never spent, and any investment return over allowed spending and fees is channeled back into the fund to keep it healthy and growing. Depending on what you intend your endowment to support, certain minimum endowment requirements apply. For information regarding establishing an Endowment Fund, please contact Assistant Vice President Elizabeth Basile.
Q. I would like to remember the Kingsborough Community College Foundation in my will. What language should I use in my will or trust?

Q. If I include the Kingsborough Community College Foundation in my will, whom do I need to tell about it?
Once you complete your estate plan, please inform the Office of College Advancement. We would like to thank you for your generosity by inviting you to join The Beacon Society, our honorary society for alumni and friends of Kingsborough who have included the College in their estate planning. Your membership involves no dues, obligations or solicitations, but it does allow us to thank you and recognize you for the plans you have made, and it may inspire generosity in others.
Q. What are the tax advantages of life income gifts and bequests?
