OFFICIAL withdrawal (from one or all courses) is required in order to obtain a tuition refund. Consult the College Catalog. The DATE that the OFFICIAL withdrawal is filed with college determines the percentage of the refund and/or tuition liability. The tuition refund for a course cancelled by the college is 100%.

If you do not plan to attend Kingsborough this semester, you must drop your COURSE(s) by 02/28/14 to avoid a tuition liability.  Also, Nonattendance does not constitute an official withdrawal and you will be liable for tuition/fees.

Tuition Payment Options

Remember that, regardless of your payment option, we must receive your payment by the due date on your bill!

  1. eCheck Payments – eCheck (electronic check) payments will only be accepted through your CUNYfirst account where you will be presented with a tuition and fee bill. Please have your bank account and ABA/routing numbers available when making your online payment. There is no convenience fee charged for an eCheck transaction.
  2. Pay by MasterCard, Discover or American Express through your CUNYfirst account.
    • Credit card payments will only be accepted over the web through EDS, the University's third party credit card processor. You can link to the EDS website from CUNYfirst where you can view your tuition and fee billing. Prior to the completion of the transaction, you will be informed of a non-refundable convenience fee charge (effective July 1, 2008). This charge will appear as a separate fee on your payment confirmation, and is added to the total cost of your bill. EDS retain the convenience fee. You will be able to access the EDS website at any time. In addition, EDS will offer e-mail payment confirmations and online viewing capabilities.
  3. Pay your bill by making monthly, interest-free installments through the Tuition Pay Plan for a nominal, non-refundable, application fee.
    • To sign up for this program go to www.tuitionpay.com/cuny, click on "Enroll in a Tuition Payment Plan", select "Kingsborough Community College". For additional information about the Tuition Pay Plan, please call 1-800-635-0120.
    • Pay using a check or money order by mail to:
      Kingsborough Community College
      Bursar Office – A205
      2001 Oriental Blvd.
      Brooklyn, NY 11235
  4. Pay in person by cash, check, or money order at the Bursar window.

    * If you are making a payment by credit card or electronic check for a prior semester, you must go to 'past semester' on your CUNYfirst account.

Tuition Payment Plan
Students are eligible to apply for an interest-free payment plan for tuition.  This is an easy way for students to break down their education expenses into easy-to-manage installments, rather than one lump-sum payment.  The plan provides flexible plan terms and convenient payment options for a low non-refundable application fee of $16.75.

  • As of Spring 2014 Sallie Mae representatives will not be on KCC campus to offer a payment plan.
  • Students must contact Sallie Mae directly to setup a payment plan for Spring 2014.
  • To enroll in a Tuition Payment Plan, students must do so online via www.tuitionpay.com/cuny. Paper applications will no longer be accepted.
  • Payment plan for Salle Mae begins as early as December 2013.  Do not delay!  Sign up early to receive lower monthly payments.

If you have any questions about the Tuition Payment Plan, please call Sallie Mae at 866.267.2869 or http://tuitionpay.salliemae.com

REMEMBER: You, the student, are responsible for knowing that you are registered for classes, what classes you are registered for, paying your bills in accordance with the published due dates, and understanding and following the correct procedures to withdraw from classes.
