The Brighton Ballet Theater’s School of Russian Ballet is located on Kingsborough’s campus and provides instruction for all levels, beginners through professionals. Many instructors are graduates of top Russian,
Ukrainian, and American institutions and have performed with prestigious ballet companies in the former Soviet Union and in the U.S. At BBT, all students enjoy the opportunity to perform in full-scale ballets.

The Brooklyn Community Wind Ensemble and Concert Band is a group of amateur and professional musicians that has entertained more than 200,000 people at concerts on campus during the past three decades. The tradition continues under the direction of Dr. Raymond Wheeler, whose 40-year career
as clarinetist and conductor includes performances with the U.S. Army Field Band of Washington, D.C., the Detroit Concert Band, the Philharmonia Virtuosi of New York City, and the Goldman Band.

The Kingsborough Musical Society Chorus performs classical sacred music, opera and operetta, Broadway favorites, and American and Jewish folk music. The ensemble has given concerts at Kingsborough for
thirty years and rehearses once a week on campus. Conductor Mark Mangini teaches music at Kingsborough and performs as a baritone soloist. He is also Music Director of the Choral Society of the Hamptons and leads the Greenwich Village Singers in Manhattan.
