The Kingsborough Honors Program is designed to provide a challenging, enriching, and rewarding educational experience for highly motivated students. Honors courses are rigorous and emphasize critical thinking, independent research, analytical writing, oral debate, and public speaking. They are all easily transferable to four-year colleges and universities.
Honors classes, taught by dedicated faculty, are smaller in size, allowing for extensive classroom interaction. The quality of curriculum is maintained by who are full-time faculty members from across the academic departments. Interested students can take designated Honors courses and/or add Honors Enrichment Components to their regular courses. The ultimate aim of the Honors Program is to enable students to successfully transfer with scholarships to top public and private four-year colleges and universities.
"My overall experience being an honors student has been magnificent. I not only learned courses but also my peers and teachers gave me self confidence by acknowledging of my projects, research and my talent. Thank you KCC Honors."

"Thinking Globally, Acting Locally" is the guiding principle of the engaging roster of co-curricular enrichment activities that the Honors Program provides to its students. We strive to nurture excellence in leadership and service, in addition to excellence in academics. Educating for global citizenship and social responsibility are the hallmarks of our unique program.
"The Honors Program should be changed to "The Honors Family". They don't just set up a schedule for you, they 'hook you up' as much as possible. With the most interesting and intriguing professors at their side, the Honors Family helps you aim at the center of the target and SCORE every time!"
